The hotel is located above a small bay north of Woolacombe, offering panoramic views over Woolacombe beach and the sea. The room had an excellent view of the sun pipe, but the bedroom was not cleaned properly, and the undersized bottom sheet was a drawback. The dining experience with a wonderful view overlooking the bay was marred by very poor instant coffee served in a cafetière.
